I am a research scholar specializing in the intellectual history of the Islamicate world. I read Arabic, Persian, French, Spanish, German and Italian, and speak Mandarin Chinese. I live on the West Coast of the United States with my wife and children. I intend to create a number of articles on medieval Islamicate thinkers not currently covered in Wikipedia, and am contributing to a variety of other articles on Middle Eastern topics, especially where POV has diminished the usefulness of the articles.
