AETC is located at Mashobra in Shimla district. It is headed by a Principal, Training Officer (Female), Subject Matter Specialists and other ministerial staff. This centre is responsible for organising different vocational trainings, refresher courses for in service field staff. It is proposed to upgrade this centre to the level of State Agricultural Extension Management Institute (SAMETI).

One Horticulture Research Station for Zone -III of Dr. Y.S. Pannar University of : Horticulture and Forestry, Solan is located at Mashobra at a distance of 18 kms. From State : Headquarters Shimla. The RHRS is constantly engaged in germ plasm evaluation of temperate fruits viz. Apple, pear, cherry, walnut etc. besides nursery production of these fruits plants. Besides pomology, research work like, breeding for disease and pest resistance, plant pathology and entomology, post harvest technology, floriculture, agro-forestry and fruit nutrition/soil science is also been done. It is headed by Associate Director supported by scientists.
