Master of Monsters
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Master of Monsters is a turn-based strategy game created by Systemsoft for the Sega Genesis.1
Gameplay involves the player summoning and moving monsters around a board in order to capture towers and eventually defeat the opponent. Moves are based on a hexagonal board structure, such that every tile on the board is adjacent to six other tiles. Other notable features involved the large variety of monsters, the possibility of upgrading veteran units, and the surprisingly sophisticated soundtrack.
While never achieving large amounts of mainstream success, the game did garner a small following. Its success on the Sega Genesis proved sufficient for a sequel on the Playstation.
