Massoud Khalili

Massoud Khalili, the son of the a famous Afghan poet laureate Ustad Khalilullah Khalili, was an Afghan advisor, schoolmate and close associate of Ahmed Shah Massoud. Just before 9/11, Khalili was badly injured by a bomb blast that killed Ahmad Shah Massoud. The bomb was the opening salvo of Ossama Bin Laden's 9/11 attack. Ahmad Shah Massoud was the first casualty of the 9/11 attack; Massoud Khalili was a badly wounded second.[citation needed]
