Massimo Hernández is the drummer for the Costa Rican music group Gandhi.
Massimo met Luis and Federico through a common friend, and they quickly found a common interest and taste in music. He began playing guitar at age ten and took on drums later on, inspired by Neil Peart from Rush and Stuart Copeland from The Police. Being the youngest in the family, he grew up listening to their older brothers' classic LPs. He quickly learned the who's who of music, enjoying many diverse styles from pop to funk to rock. As a drummer and guitarist, he is self-taught, and can pick songs by ear with great ease. His particular style of drumming differs by being very melodic and musically oriented, besides being just rhythmic. He also enjoys other forms of art and is well-known as a graphic designer. He has created many CD art and covers, and designs all the visual and graphic art of Gandhi's shows and albums. Massimo has also started working as a producer with the debut album of the local band Sintagma.
