[edit] Manga

[edit] Tokyo Mew Mew

In the second volume, R2000 is given to Ichigo by Ryou Shirogane. R2000 is happy to be with Ichigo, but when Ryou says "Goodbye R2000", he looks rather sad. She later renames the robot Masha, because it sounds like "Masaya", the name of her crush. Masha's vocabulary is very limited in the manga; it speaks only in "pi"s, or "tweet"s. Masha mainly detects the Chimera Animas. Masha also collects or eats the jellyfish-like parasites that possess animals, humans and plants.

[edit] Tokyo Mew Mew à la Mode

Masha is seen in a small panel in the first volume of À La Mode saying "Masha is going with Ichigo! Masha is going with Ichigo!" This is the only sentence Masha says, as opposed to "pi"s and "tweet"s. He is seen one other time, on the first panel of page fifty four in the second volume, resting on Ichigo's shoulder. Masha now wears a little ribbon under his eyes, about where a mouth would be if he had one.

[edit] Tokyo Black Cat Girl

Masha is in the bonus story included in Tokyo Mew Mew volume 4, called Tokyo Black Cat Girl, with Hime Azumi. Masha is very different in this story, as it can talk in complete sentences and appears to be a darker color. Masha in Tokyo Black Cat Girl and Masha in Tokyo Mew Mew are most likely not the same character, but they share some abilities, such as being able to fly/hover and shrink to cellphone mascot size.

[edit] Anime

[edit] Tokyo Mew Mew

Masha appears in episode one of Tokyo Mew Mew. R2000 is given to Ichigo by ryou in the second episode of the anime. She renames him Masha shortly after receiving him. Masha is pretty much the same as in the manga, except he can speak in short sentences, and give the members of Tokyo Mew Mew their pendants.

[edit] Mew Mew Power

In Mew Mew Power, R2000 is given to Zoey in the second episode, and she renames the robot Mini Mew right then and there. (She says, "I shall call him, Mini-Mew!" as a reference to Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, in which Dr. Evil said, "I shall call him, Mini-Me!")

[edit] Weapons and abilites

  • Can fly/hover
  • Can shrink down to cellphone mascot size
  • In the manga, can detect the Mew Aquas. When merged with the Mew Aqua, becomes the Mew Aqua Rod
  • In the anime, can spit out the Mews' transformation pendants
  • Can alert Ichigo if an alien is present or a comrade is nearby or in danger
  • Collects (or eats) the jellyfish-like things after a Chimera Anima is defeated, possibly in a dimensional pocket.
Spoilers end here.
