Masa and Mune (グランとリオン, guran to rion^?, Gran and Leon) are characters in Squaresoft's video game Chrono Trigger.

Originally, they lived in the Zeal Palace in the Kingdom of Zeal with their other sibling, Doreen. Masa and Mune's spirits were embodied in Melchior's Ruby Knife, which turned into the Masamune during the Ocean Palace disaster. Centuries later, the sword was broken into two pieces - the blade and the hilt - and these two spirits dwelt inside the former, which lied deep in the Denadoro Mountains. For Crono to obtain this sword, he and his friends had to defeat Masa and Mune in battle, as both themselves and their fused form Masamune.

Between the timelines of Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, the Masamune was corrupted and those who wielded it since were under the influence of the sword's negative aura. By the time it went to its final wielder, Dario, the man was defeated and the sword vaporized in the air. Masa and Mune awaken (though invisible to it seems), sleeping since the sword's corruption and thus had no idea what they did, but felt that they had been responsible for something evil. Doreen appeared before them and join her brothers to keep them out of trouble, merging with Serge's Sea Swallow to turn it into the "Mastermune" used by Serge as his ultimate weapon.

Their names in the Japanese version of the game are "Gran" and "Leon" respectively, making the name of the sword "Grandleon" (グランドリオン). Doreen's name in Japanese (ドリーン) is very similar in sound with the Japanese word for "Dream" (ドリーム) (a fascination of hers) and thus the Triple Tech in Chrono Trigger and the Mastermune weapon in Chrono Cross are both called "Grandream" (グランドリーム).
