[edit] Are you connected to these site?
Mary, are you connected with the Journal of Sacred Work, Erie Chapman, or the Baptist Healing Trust? --Siobhan Hansa 16:34, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Mary. Thanks for responding.
- I asked because your current editing style has been very promotional of the subjects in a way that is inappropriate for an encyclopedia and I was wondering whether to suggest a different approach (as seems appropriate) or to ask you to stop editing (as would be appropriate if you were doing this on behalf of the institutions).
- Since you're not connected I suggest you try reading through some of our guidelines and policies. We're an encyclopedia, so our articles are intended to provide a neutral treatment of the subjects, and to avoid appearing (or being) biased. In particular, Wikipedia tries to cover information that is verifiable through reliable sources. At the moment the edits you're making frequently use marketing copy taken from websites which violates our neutral point of view and copyright policies. It's easy enough to avoid this by paraphrasing the information and writing with a more measured and neutral tone of voice. Our manual of style (which is, unfortunately, ridiculously large!) could also help here along with these essays on peacock phrases and weasel words for some idea about appropriate language. And, of course, our welcome page has some good starting points too.
- Also you have been adding links to the sites to inappropriate articles and linking externally to other websites instead of pointing readers to encyclopedic information within Wikipedia. The only embedded external links we should have in articles (other than sources) should be in the external links section, see the external links guidelines for more on what is and isn't appropriate.
- If you have any questions on this please feel free to ask. You can post questions to appropriate article talk pages; ask me on my talk page; or type your question here along with {{helpme}} and an experienced editor will come along shortly to try to answer your question. --Siobhan Hansa 20:29, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Journal of Sacred Work
A tag has been placed on Journal of Sacred Work, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. shotwell 04:37, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

It is being removed by editors because it does not meet the standards expressed in the external links guidelines. The addition of this site in this way is considered spamming. --Siobhan Hansa 15:22, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Please stop. If you continue spamming you will be blocked from editing. -- Fyslee 21:55, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
