[edit] Howdy - on Linking

I saw your Esso Club article and see you were attempting to make a link.

Instead the format is:

  • '#REDIRECT ESSO Club' - without the ' and with the [[ ]] around the link

and the link automatically transfers... I already did it. But keep it up!

[edit] re: Stolen C-130

If you have a better reference link, please include it instead of or in addition to mine. If should be some reputable source, not a forum or a blog. Also, I see you struggle with signing on my talk page. Actually, you can sign with ~~~~ (see WP:SIG). WP will substitute you signature. Also, the buttons at the top of the of the editing form has a sign button (3rd from the right) --rogerd 04:47, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] University of South Carolina

Hi, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind lending your opinion to a content dispute that I am currently involved in on University of South Carolina. As you know, USC has a strong rivalry with Clemson University. I feel that the athletics section of the article should discuss this rivalry, and I feel that this discussion should include a reference to the overall record between the two schools in various major sports. Other editors have disagreed, and feel that the record should not be mentioned. As it happens, Clemson leads in two of the discussed sports and USC leads in the third. I would appreciate it if you would consider lending your opinion on this issue on Talk:University of South Carolina. Thanks! Ëvilphoenix Burn! 00:42, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] preserved c-130s

Two things about this. First, they're both AC-130s, and there's a separate article for that model; are they really appropriate here? Second, there are thousands of C-130s still in service - is listing preserved airframes even practical? Just curious. ericg 23:18, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Clemson Probation

I have revised your revision of my edit regarding the above. If you follow the link I added to my revision, click on Major violations, search Clemson then public report, you will find that my facts are accurate, including at least one major violation by the Clemson head coach in 1981. Please be careful to document the factual basis of your edits before editing my posts as I always report based on documented evidence.

[edit] Claude Moore Colonial Farm

Hey there Mark. I removed your addition of trivia to this article, because it was unencyclopedic and not verified. You also might want to take a look at Wikipedia:Avoid trivia sections in articles. Regards, Gzkn 08:28, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Ah, I'm currently on recent changes patrol, which means I'm on the lookout for vandalism and the like (your edit wasn't vandalism though!). I use a nifty tool called Lupin's anti-vandal tool to spot questionable changes such as this one. The tool often spits out false positives though, so sometimes I take a look at edits which may need improvement instead. Anyway, hope you're enjoying your Reggae! :-) Good job so far with Claude Moore Colonial Farm. Happy editing! Gzkn 08:43, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Virginia Aviation Museum

To be frank, I think the article would be better off not listing every single aircraft that's on display, but instead focus on the museum itself (its history, what aspects of it make it unique, etc.). However, I think you'll find that http://vam.smv.org/ might contain what you're looking for (see the Aircraft section). :-) Gzkn 09:07, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A request for assistance

Would you support the concept of moving the Earhart "myths" to a separate page or article? The reason for my suggesting this is that the main article should be an accurate and scholarly work while the speculation and conspiracy theories surrounding the disappearance of Amelia Earhart are interesting, they belong in a unique section. Most researchers, as you know, discount the many theories and speculation that has arisen in the years following her last flight. Go onto the Earhart discussion page and register your vote/comments...and a Happy New Year to you as well. Bzuk 05:02 3 January 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Robert Goralski

It was Robert Abernethy & Nancy Dickerson who co-anchored live coverage of Air Force One landing at Andrews Air Force Base on November, 22, 1963, NOT Robert Goralski. See There Was a President, by NBC News. Goralski was at the White House that day and anchored live coverage of the new president arriving at the White House.

[edit] B-17 Photo upload

Hi, Mark. In response to your question about uploading an image, the easiest way is to follow the steps in the Wikipedia "Upload file" menu item in the toolbox located on the left menu bar (under the search window). After you have selected an image, one of the first "prompts" is to identify the source in relation to the Summary (author, source, URL, fair use rationale if applicable, extra If you are going to make tags you will have to type in {{tags}}., etc.). Most often images need to have a tag and in the case of a B-17 image, it is most likely to receive a

[edit] Roundels

Unfortunately, I don't know about availability of roundels. Most articles just use national flags (see UH-60 Black Hawk for example}. You might want to drop the question on the Aircraft Project talk page, though. Unrelated to that...is your father in the Southern California area? I was introduced to an elderly Sublette (can't remember first name or rank) by some friends at the Mojave Airport a few years back, during a Veteran's Day celebration. Just thought it might be a small world. Akradecki 14:57, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] BQZip01 message

Sublette, thanks and Howdy. Yeah, I'm a band nerd/geek/BQ. Great overall job on the documentation. I used to be in Special Operations and I was the Wing Liaison for 13 Accident/Safety Investigation Boards for Special Ops aircraft, so if you want to know the details of any of those accidents (especially the MC-130 crashes in 2003 and beyond). I also still have a few contacts there and/or can get you some basic info. I think it is important to note that Spirit 03 was the last gunship to be brought down and that it has not been involved in a Class A mishap since that date. Should we include that? BQZip01 05:50, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Special Ops...can't say why...lol. BTW, I madea a typo there. It should have been Spirit 03 BQZip01 06:11, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
