Bot is UP! Over the past few days, I've been able to fix the old broken code, but if you see any new errors, please report them

[edit] MartinBot

[edit] Information

MartinBot is a Wikipediholic - it can't write articles, nor can it converse intelligently with users, but what it is good at is fighting vandalism. The bot is running a copy of the AVB code, originally developed by Tawker and Joshbuddy, which I've spent some time fixing to work with the new interface updates to Wikipedia. You can find more info about the AVB bots here.

You can see various logs and cool searches of the bot's database here.

[edit] Problems

The bot goes through various checks before reverting an edit, checking the size difference and the addition of "bad words" (among other things). Sometimes, you'll make an edit which the bot may mistake as vandalism (for example, if you create a redirect incorrectly, or if you blank the page). In this case, please don't report this to me, as it happens all the time. If you can see a clear reason for the bot's revert, again, please don't report it to me (though if you'd like guidance, I'd be happy to help). If, however, you can see a clear problem with the bot, please either leave a message on my talk page or get in contact with me on IRC (in #martinp23).

To find the reason for the bot's revert, go to [1] and enter your username where required. If the search fails to run, please do not retry!

MartinBot is doing a great job at reverting vandalism. It's very efficient at its job. I definitely forgive it for reverting me when I was an anon. Keep up the great work! --LuigiManiac | Talk 12:59, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing Afanasy Grigoriev within a second NVO 19:31, 27 March 2007 (UTC) Great bot; I love coming along after it and checking up on the users its reverted. I often find they've tried to trick the bot, and I can catch them. -- {Zaf} 06:19, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
