Hello! My name's Mark and I decided to become a member of Wikipedia to really try to improve resources available on subjects and issues that are most important to me, and add my knowledge of these things to the pool of information already available here. In short, I want to make Wikipedia a better place.

[edit] Wikipedia[edit] WikistoryI can remember my first visit to Wikipedia. I was looking up my favourite band, Metallica, when I stumbled upon its Wikipedia article. I was amazed to find such a comprehensive amount of information all in one place. My eyes were inevitably drawn to the edit button. I hit it and changed something, I can't remember what. When I realised this actually changed it for good, I was amazed. I did some research and found out what Wikipedia was, and became a member on 10 January 2006. The rest is history. On 28 December 2006, I celebrated my 250th mainspace edit. [edit] WikiethosAs previously mentioned, I particularly enjoy creating and/or editing small, specific articles that mean something to me particularly. If I see vandalism, I will always revert it. I also don't like seeing badly or outright studpidly written articles and will usually strive to fix these, as well as blantant POV and other such nasties.
I try and do the right thing on Wikipedia all the time, but I'm new here so I don't know about all the complex procedures and regulations. Please do let me know if I make a mistake. [edit] VandalismMore recently I've started to actively patrol the Recent Changes list and revert vandalism using a combination of Popups and VandalProof. [edit] MeWell, I'm a 16 year old student from Hertfordshire in England. I've completed my GCSEs and have just begun four A Level courses. I'm a bit of a geek and I'm really interested in all things to do with computers, but I'm also really into music. I'm especially into metal, rock and classic rock music, but I'm not aversed to jazz or classical music either.
