Evil Adam is a rock/metal band from Jersey City, New Jersey that began playing live in 1999. Started by frontman René Rosa as a one man band, bedroom recording project in 1997, Evil Adam became a full band by 1999, playing out regularly, including shows at the legendary CBGB's in New York City. Evil Adam has become notable through it's extensive Soundtrack work on many Anime DVD release titles, mostly published by Central Park Media, and is currently adding Major Motion Picture soundtrack released to their lists of works, including some new films to be put out by the world famous horror film company, Troma Entertainment.

In 1997 and 1998 "Godless" , the 3rd song on the debut album Useless and Dumb was the number one song on the Metal charts in New Jersey on MP3.com for over 4 months in a row and other songs stayed high in the Metal charts of MP3.com until it was sold in May of 2001.

In 2001 Evil Adam also gained much internet noteriety for it's cover of "Genie in a Bottle" which was originally recorded by Christina Aguilera. This release has recorded almost 1 Million downloads direct from the band's official website.

Evil Adam also follows an uncommon practice of making almost their entire catalog available to download for free off of their official website, a seemingly unheard of trait for most bands and musicians alike. This includes all the MP3's to their first two albums Useless and Dumb and Digital Stink. In an interview in the now defunct Hipnosis Magazine, René Rosa stated that the band rather give it's music away to those who really wanted to hear it because what they cared about most was playing live and getting their ideas out there for everyone to hear.

Evil Adam is now going to have it's music on Major Motion Pictures including it's song "Touched" to be put out on the film by Ruben Rodriguez (director), Sawaru, being released by Troma Entertainment in the summer of 2006.

Evil Adam already has it's song, "Illusional Dillusional" out on the Ultimate Crop Circles: Signs From Space? DVD that was released by Central Park Media. Central Park Media has also used many Evil Adam songs for it's line of various Anime films and trailers for the films, including such titles as Night Shift Nurses, Venus Wars and about 20 others.

Aside from the band, René Rosa is also a published author who is currently working on his first full novel, titled Benign, and has had short stories published in other mediums, including his short horror story "Lunatic" that was published in the first issue of the critically acclaimed horror magazine HorrorHound. He also works for the National Entertainment Collectibles Association where his humorous news posts and addressings to the NECA fans have given him name recognition in the collector's community.

Jason Curcio is an accomplished artist who's tattoo designs have been used for band members in the Jersey music scene, including his own.
