[edit] Theresa?

What's with the sentence on Chris Smith (EastEnders) that says he called her Theresa? Was that her name? (If it's any use, that's what her mum's name was in her book, is Edie a derivitive of Theresa?) -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 17:32, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

i guess it must have been. It says here in the episode guide [1] that Mary told her father she goes by the name Mary now. Ive no idea why she changed it. I always assumed it was a derivative of Theresa. Maybe she just altered her name completely though to change her identity as she was running away from home. I'm not sure about Edie and Theresa, but i'm not very clued up about name derivatives. I was shocked to discover that Peggy was a derivative of Margaret, Morag for Sarah or Sandy for Alexander. They are nothing alike! Gungadin 18:33, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
