Talk:Mary From Dungloe (song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is interesting because my grandfather's name was Manus McCole.
Manus is a very unusual name and the McCole surname is also rare. He was from Donegal born in the late 1800's, then emigrated to Philadelphia, PA. This is the first time I've seen the name Manus linked with the name McCole in any other source.
It also speaks to the point that many McCole's believe that they
originated in Scotland or Australia. But the McCole clan is originally from Ireland. All "McCole's" are related unlike Gallagher's or Reilly's as the ancestry for this rare surname is easily traced.
