Hi following you Email to me

Dear Barry,

I am writing to confirm whether permission is granted to use a page from your website under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GFDL ). A user with the [IP 211.30.129.186] has pasted in text from your website http://www4.tpg.com.au/users/barrymor/Mary%20Ann%20Bugg.html to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The text concerns Mary Ann Bugg and the original submission can be viewed at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mary_Ann_Bugg&oldid=9103575

This user claims on the talk page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Mary_Ann_Bugg to be the original author of the material, but for the page to remain on our site, we need further evidence that this is the case.

The article will be deleted in seven days time if permission is not confirmed, though can be undeleted at a later date if you choose to respond later to state that such use is allowed.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to your response.

Yours faithfully,

Hi I am Barry Sinclair with an account in the name of barrymor & I am the copyright holder of all the material enclosed within. barrymor

In light of this and discussion at WP:CP I have restored the page. I assume you mean by this that you are prepared to licence this material as you did at Thunderbolt (New South Wales). --rbrwr± 13:41, 1 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Neutral Point of View

I have removed the tag as it was added without discussion as to what NPOV was being breached. Unless the tager is prepared to state what offends, they should not tag--A Y Arktos\talk 09:14, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

"Whatever the truth, with her passing Australia's colonial history lost another extraordinary person. She was a clever and talented individual, spirited, perhaps a bit of a larrikin, a mother and a loyal partner. She was the sort of person that colonial Australia of the 1860s needed, and was possibly ahead of her time. She may be criticized for her willing involvement with one of Australia's most notorious villains but she is not the first (or last) woman who may be 'guilty' of letting her heart rule her head. At least with Ward she was given the opportunity to show her spirit and determination at a time when most women were subjugated to a life of raising children and crops. To quote Patrick White, "it is questionable if ever a bushranger had a mate more serviceable or devoted."" sorry for quoting the entire section, but I think this part is lacking neutrality. the dramatic language might be suitable for novels or biography, but not for an encyclopedia. especially some part are simply the writer's point of view. --Zephirum 06:54, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Feel free to wikify as per the tag. Dramatic language does not equal not neutral. Note some information about source above.--A Y Arktos\talk 08:07, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Original research

I think better tagged as Original research. We went trough this with Captain Thunderbolt. Barry's Page is obviously a good reference, and his participation must be encouraged. However I think a rewrite is needed to wikify and remove POV as happened on the thunderbolt page.Ghostieguide 00:45, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
