[edit] Accuracy/NPOV

This article has only recently been started, and needs developing, expanding, wikifying and making more balanced. For example (!) - "The combination of liberalization, privatization, and marketization ensure that globalization fulfills the promises of peace, prosperity, and cooperation that its liberal scholars and philosophers have promised."(diff). See WP:Cite, WP:NPOV. Rd232 talk 08:02, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

you've misquoted. The actual setence reads like this "As they see it, the combination of liberalization, privatization, and marketization ensure that globalization fulfills the promises of peace, prosperity, and cooperation that its liberal scholars and philosophers have promised." The preceding unsigned comment was added by KDRGibby (talk • contribs) 7 December.

No sweetie, I copy-pasted from the version I was referring to, and did not "misquote". Nor do the recent changes (diff) softening the above example of the many problems with the (very draft) article remove the need for the tags - so I'm putting them back. You've been on Wikipedia less than a week ([1]), so trust me when I say the tags are necessary and that this article has a long way to go. Rd232 talk 17:23, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

if you are going to make complaints i suggest you make them on the most recent editions of this page. The tags are only necessary because you disagree. DELETED! Oh and i've been on here for 2 years...got an account 2 months ago...(Gibby 22:33, 7 December 2005 (UTC))

My initial comment was directed at the (then) most recent version, and subsequent changes have not made enough of a difference. The page (let's not call it an article at this stage) is badly drafted, one-sided, lacking many aspects and issues. I really shouldn't have to explain the general issue to someone whose been here 2 years - you must know what a good article looks like. And your KDRGibby account has made no contributions before 1 December; did you switch usernames or why do you say you created an account "2 months ago"? Rd232 talk 00:16, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Equally, someone who's been here 2 years should know better than to delete NPOV/accuracy tags without adequate prior discussion. Rd232 talk 00:17, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

try attacking the POV on its own grounds as it stands. Please explain in better words, what needs to be done. As it stands, you've added little in terms of helping make this a better arguement...simply complaining does nothing! (Gibby 22:45, 7 December 2005 (UTC))

I have asked for you to supply that discussion, you have failed to do that twice now. Deleted again! (Gibby 01:12, 8 December 2005 (UTC))

I didn't go into detail because (a) I didn't (and don't) have the time and (b) it should be obvious. I've put back the cleanup and wikify tags you also keep removing along with the NPOV/accuracy ones, and this time left the latter out - not because I don't think they're still necessary, but because I do not have time to debate over this, or to rewrite the article. Sigh - economics articles on Wikipedia are generally appalling; why should this be any different? And BTW, I accidentally reverted to my old version with tags and without your minor addition of a couple of names like Friedman (not "sources" as such in the sense of WP:CITE), even though I was specifically trying to avoid that and add the tags back to your newer version. (Tired, too many windows.) Rd232 talk 10:15, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

then when i have the time i will go in add directly quote them...but i doubt that will make you happy... (Gibby 16:37, 8 December 2005 (UTC))
