Maryland Route 31 is a rural highway linking the Frederick County, Maryland town of Libertytown with the Carroll County, Maryland towns of Marston, New Windsor and Westminster.

The route is a rural two-lane highway. In New Windsor it serves as the town's Main Street.

At one time, MD 31 once traversed the alignment of MD 27 between Westminster and the latter's terminus in Manchester. The route also traversed all of MD 26 west of MD 31's southern terminus.
