Maryland Route 287

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maryland Route 287 is used as an access route into Delaware from northern Caroline County, Maryland. Just over two miles, its only claim to fame is passing over the origin of the Choptank River, which is little more than a ditch at that point but widens into a very accessible river by the time it meanders to Cambridge, Maryland.

Route 287 is also known as Sandtown Road. It becomes Delaware Route 10 across the border. Some commuters and shoppers use the route to reach Dover, Delaware.
