Maryam Hatoon Molkara

Maryam Hatoon Molkara (b. 1950) is a campaigner for the rights of transsexuals in Iran. Formerly known as Fereydoon, which is a male name, she was instrumental in obtaining a letter which acted as a fatwa enabling sex change operations to exist as part of a legal framework.
