Mary Lutyens

Mary Lutyens (19081999) was an author who wrote an authoritative biography on Jiddu Krishnamurti.

She was the daughter of Edwin Landseer Lutyens, an architect and his wife Emily Bulwer-Lytton. Emily was the granddaughter of Edward Bulwer-Lytton.

Her other books include The Lyttons in India, Effie in Venice (editor), and Millais and the Ruskins (editor). She also wrote biographies of John Ruskin, Effie Gray and her father, British architect Edwin Lutyens.

Mary Lutyens was acquainted with Krishnamurti from 1911 until his death in 1986.
