Mary Jo White (born December 27, 1947) was the first woman to be U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, serving from 1993 to 2002.

White received her B.A. from the College of William and Mary and her law degree from Columbia Law School. White was appointed to the position by President Bill Clinton. She is noted for having prosecuted John Gotti and the terrorists responsible for the first World Trade Center bombing of 1993, chief among them Ramzi Yousef.
