Marion Rose Lake Collins was born October 16, 1944 in Hollywood, California to Arthur Lake and Patricia Lake. She was the second child, first daughter to the Lakes and grand-daughter of actress Marion Davies. Named after Patricia's mother and aunt, actresses Marion and Rose Davies. Played herself in Captured on Film: The True Story of Marion Davies.
