Mary Beth Evans (born March 7, 1961 in Pasadena, California) is an American actress.

Evans is most famous for her role as Kayla Brady Deveraux Johnson on the soap opera Days of our Lives from July 1986 to May 1992. Her character became half of the supercouple Steve and Kayla. Steve was played by Stephen Nichols.
Prior to her first stint on Days of our Lives, she portrayed Piper in the teen romantic comedy flick Lovelines.
Evans returned to soaps in September 1993 as villainess Katherine Bell Ashton on General Hospital in which she remained until October 1999. While on General Hospital she was once again paired with Nichols who played Stefan Cassadine.
In 2004, One Life to Live almost signed her on contract for the role of Dr. Paige Miller on the series, but Evans backed out at the last moment and the role was filled with Kimberlin Brown.
She moved to New York City to start her role as Sierra Esteban Montgomery on As the World Turns a role she played from December 2000 to late 2005.
On June 12, 2006, Evans returned to Days of our Lives as Kayla after a fourteen-year absence. Shortly after, Nichols also returned as Steve Johnson.

Evans has been married to Dr. Michael Schwartz since 1985. They have three children, Daniel Luke (born 1987), Katherine Elizabeth (born 1990), and Matthew Joseph (born 1993).
