Mary Ann Esposito

Mary Ann Esposito is the host and creator of the television program, Ciao Italia, television's longest-running cooking program.

With some 1.4 million weekly viewers, Ciao Italia has aired on more than 270 Public Television stations nationwide since its debut in 1989. This program is produced by Rhode Island PBS for national distribution.

Mary Ann is also the author of nine best-selling cookbooks including Ciao Italia, Nella Cucina, Celebrations Italian Style, What You Knead, Mangia Pasta, Ciao Italia – Bringing Italy Home, Ciao Italia in Umbria, Ciao Italia in Tuscany, and Ciao Italia Pronto! 30-Minute Meals from an Italian Kitchen. Her 10th cookbook, Ciao Italia, Slow and Easy, will be published in fall 2007.

Mary Ann has appeared nationally on PBS' Victory Garden, NBC’s The Today Show, ABC’s Live with Regis and Kelly, Discovery Channel’s Home Matters, Lifetime’s Our Home, Food TV Network and numerous commercial and public television stations across the country. She has been featured in USA Today, Family Circle, Better Homes & Gardens, La Cucina Italiana, TV Guide, Yankee Magazine, Coastal Living, Quarterly Review of Wines and many metropolitan newspapers.

Many Italian communities have officially honored Mary Ann for her work in preserving Italian customs, heritage and traditions. Among these organizations are The National Italian American Foundation, National Organization of Italian American Women, The Columbus Foundation, and The Pirandello Lyceum, Washington, D.C. She is currently a spokeswoman for King Arthur Flour.
