[edit] The Athena Program

The Athena program is a Gifted education program, functioning as a "school within a school". These students are segregated from the general student body and taught a different curriculum. The majority of students in this program come from Windsor Park Elementary School, a feeder school, but children can take a test to gain admission. One of the few exceptions to taking the test to gain admission is if future students are already in the GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program, otherwise known as GT, in a different area.
