Marvell Wynne (baseball player)

Marvell Wynne (born December 17, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois) is a former center fielder in Major League Baseball who played for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1983-1985), San Diego Padres (1986-1989[start]) and Chicago Cubs (1989[end]-1990). Wynne batted and threw left handed.

- On April 13, 1987, Wynne, Tony Gwynn and John Kruk hit home runs off San Francisco Giants starter Roger Mason, as the San Diego Padres became the first team in major league history to begin a game with three consecutive home runs. The feat was matched on May 28, 2003 by Rafael Furcal, Mark DeRosa and Gary Sheffield of the Atlanta Braves against Jeff Austin of the Cincinnati Reds.
