Martin Wood is a television director who has been directing since the early 1990s. He has directed several episodes of the notable TV series Stargate: Atlantis. Specializing in science fiction, he has also directed for Stargate SG-1 (46 episodes), The Invisible Man (2000 series), and Earth: Final Conflict. In addition, Martin directed two TV specials on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. He is also a co-writer for the upcoming web-series, Sanctuary, starring Amanda Tapping and Christopher Heyerdahl.

In addition to his work on Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, he produced the films 40,000 Years of Dreaming, Listen Up!, and SIDS: A Special Report. He has directed episodes of the TV shows Andromeda, Jeremiah, Just Deal, Earth: The Final Conflict, Silk Stalkings, Life and Times, and Jake and the Kid. He also directed the TV programs The Invisible Man, SIDS: Uncovering The Mystery, Vicki Gabereau: The Mouth That Roared, Pierre Burton: Canada's Arrogant Icon, Teenage Space Vampires, Listen Up!, The Great Run Of China, and SIDS: A Special Report, as well as the family movie The Impossible Elephant. He was a writer for 1800 Seconds: Chasing Canada's Snowbirds, SIDS: Uncovering the Mystery, Teenage Space Vampires, Life and Times, Listen Up!, and The Great Run Of China, and he was a production manager for Happy Feet and 40,000 Years of Dreaming.
Wood made his acting debut on the 200th episode of Stargate SG-1, portraying the director of the SG-1 parody Wormhole X-Treme. He appears on many Stargate DVD extras.
