Martin Ryan Spanjers (born February 2, 1987 in Tucson, Arizona) is an American actor who is best known for his role as the son, Rory Joseph Hennessy in the ABC television sitcom 8 Simple Rules. He has an older brother, Matt.

At the age of 7 he started acting in a theater production of Peter Pan. He went on to do many different theater productions after that. He got a recurring role in 1998 on the Olsen Twins' sitcom Two of a Kind. Spanjers landed his first starring role on TV in Daddio where he played the oldest son Max. His biggest role came in 2002 when he landed the part of Rory on 8 Simple Rules.
Spanjers auditioned for the starring role of Malcolm in Malcolm in the Middle, almost getting it, but did get a guest spot in the show's pilot episode. Spanjers made a guest appearance as "Davie" in the first episode of the fourth series of Cold Case, "Rampage". He made guest appearances in many other TV shows as well. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
Spanjers' most recent film appearance came as the voice for "Sugimura" in the English remake of Japanese anime, Whisper of the Heart in 2006. Spanjers will appear as Randy Randinger in US Comedy film, The Comebacks, scheduled for release sometime in 2007.
