Martin Rossiter

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Martin Rossiter, born May 15, 1970 in Wales was the lead-singer of British indie-band Gene from 1994 until their break-up in 2004.

His joining the band had been the result of being approached by guitarist Steve Mason in a London nightclub where his calling card ('Martin Rossiter: Soothsayer to the Stars') was handed over. The result was a band which enjoyed both chart and critical success before an amicable split.

Rossiter is now the manager of Access to Music Brighton [1] and is recording a solo album. He lives in Brighton and has two children.

Rossiter shares similarities with multi-instrumentalist, producer and artist Lee "Muddy" Baker. They both attended Watford Boys' Grammar School, both now live in Brighton and both had tunes voted as Melody Maker’s Single of the Week.
