Martin Hyde is a fictional character from Highlander: The Series, portrayed by actor Michael Siberry. He is an Immortal.

Martin Hyde was born in 977 in Wessex, England. he grew up to become a big game hunter. In 1014, Martin encountered some Danish raiders and was killed by one of them and became Immortal. The raiders were led by Kanwulf who also is an Immortal, who will become Martin Hyde's teacher. After being taught about his Immortallity, Martin became a big hunter, he would seek out older Immortals by taking their head, by doing this he would use the younger Immortals to lead them to their teachers, then taking their heads.
Years later, in 1630, Martin Hyde will visit Scotland and encounters Duncan MacLeod. Hyde tries to force Duncan into telling Martin where Duncan's teacher, Connor MacLeod is so Martin can take his head. Duncan decides to fight Martin Hyde, but isn't strong enough yet. Martin decides not to take Duncan's head, rides off.
In 1700, in Paris, France, Martin Hyde goes to a church and there he encounters Duncan MacLeod. Martin is there to take the head of the Immortal named Pierre Segur, another teacher of Duncan's. Pierre decides to face Martin Hyde. Pierre gives Duncan a bottle of cognac for the both to drink, tells Duncan to wait for him about an hour at the bridge. Duncan does wait for about an hour, but it is clear that Martin Hyde took Pierre Segur's head.
Centuries later, in 1994, Martin is after Duncan MacLeod. Martin has caused a lot of trouble for Richie Ryan in South America, making Richie run more. Then follows Richie to Spain, which Martin frames Richie for murdering Richie's friend. Martin follows Richie to Marseille, France, where outside the city, in the country side, Richie pulls over for gas and a coffee. Richie knows it is an Immortal following him. Richie has a coffee, then goes outside and a man is killed. Martin drives off, framing Richie. Richie heads to Paris to see Duncan MacLeod, not realising that Martin Hyde is using him to lead him to Duncan MacLeod. Martin calls the police and Richie is arrested. Duncan must find a way to get Richie cleared of the murder charge. Duncan finds a way to clear Richie by meeting Hyde on a rooftop, the police are there, they see the sword. Martin Hyde is shot by the police and falls off the roof. Richie is free to go.
Later on that night, Martin awakes in the morgue, takes his sword and leaves. Duncan knows that Martin will come for him. Duncan has the same bottle of cognac that Pierre Segur gave him in 1700. He tells Richie to wait for him on the bridge and they will share the bottle. Martin Hyde faces off with Duncan MacLeod and Martin is defeated, beheaded by MacLeod. Duncan and Richie share the bottle of cogniac.
