Martin contributes drums to Glaswegian Post-rock group Mogwai. Mogwai was formed in 1995 by schoolfriends Stuart Braithwaite, Dominic Aitchison, and Martin.

Martin drummed on the 1995 release, Trucking and Paving by Eska. Martin has also drummed for Arab Strap at some gigs.
