Martha W. Bark is an American Republican Party politician, who has been serving in the New Jersey State Senate since 1997, where she represents the 8th Legislative District. She has served as Deputy Minority Leader since 2004. She was a member of the lower house of the New Jersey Legislature, the New Jersey General Assembly, from 1995-1997. She serves on the Senate's Budget and Appropriations and Economic Growth Committees and on the Joint Committee on the Public Schools.

Senator Bark served on the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders from 1984-1997. She served on the Medford Township Council from 1980-1987 and was its Mayor in 1981 and 1985. She served on the Medford Board of Education from 1973-1978.

As of 2006, Senator Bark is facing a New Jersey State investigation over about $330,000 that she was paid by the Burlington County Bridge Commission and the Burlington County Institute of Technology for part-time work performed from 1997 to 2003. It is charged that these were patronage jobs which were created in order to funnel income to Senator Bark for jobs that were not advertised to the public and for which there are no records of actual work performed by the Senator.[1]
