Martha Bowes MacCallum is a news anchor on Fox News Channel. She joined the network in 2004, and is based in the New York City bureau. Currently, she hosts The Live Desk at 1:00 p.m. ET.

In 1992 MacCallum was an associate in corporate relations at Dow Jones & Company in New York [1].
MacCallum began her journalism career as a reporter for Corporate Finance magazine. Before Fox, MacCallum was an anchor/reporter on CNBC's Morning Call with Martha MacCallum and Ted David in addition to Checkpoint, an evening show which examined the business side of security and war. Prior to those shows, she frequently contributed to The News with Brian Williams, Today, NBC affiliates, and CNBC World. In addition, MacCallum also created the series "Inside the Business" for Business Center, a past show on CNBC.
Before CNBC, MacCallum was an anchor & reporter for WBIS-TV, a sports and business network in New York, in 1996. Prior to that, she was at Wall Street Journal Television where she served as a business news correspondent and anchor for The Wall Street Journal Report, World Market Outlook and Business USA from 1991 to 1996.

When porn star Savanna Samson sought to expand her resume of sex work to include wine-making, Martha said "good for her." Samson's wine received praise from taste testers and wine experts.[citation needed]
On March 7, 2006 MacCallum wrote a column titled "Have Fun Girls" commenting on the murder of Imette St. Guillen. In it she sympathizes with young women saying "I was young and foolish once...I remember staying out too late. I even remember closing a few bars". She continued on saying, "We all do stupid things now and then when we are finding our way in the world". She urged young women to be careful, aware, and responsible.

Martha MacCallum has allegedly misrepresented her age in various interviews. Her 1992 wedding announcement indicated that she was 28 years old. In an interview published 13 Jan 02 Interview from USA Weekend.com she claimed to be in her early thirties when she was 37.
In an interview in 2005, she claimed to be thirty-something when she was in fact forty-something[citation needed]. The false ages can be seen in the interviews with USA Weekend and Virginia Rohan below in the links section.

Martha was born and raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey. She referred to the town as being "country" in her Fox Fans video. MacCallum earned a bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University. and studied at the Circle in the Square Theater School in New York. She is a founding member of the Miranda Theater Company in New York [2].
She currently lives in Ridgewood, New Jersey. She has been married to Daniel Gregory since August 1992; she has chosen not to adopt her husband's last name, at least not in her public persona as an anchorwoman. Together they have has three children: daughter Elizabeth (born 1996), son Reed (born 1998), and son Harry (born 2001) [3].
