Marrickville is a CityRail railway station on the Bankstown line. Located in the Sydney suburb of Marrickville, it serves a residential area. It has three platforms, only two of which are used for passenger traffic. One platform faces the Metropolitan Goods Line which parallels the Bankstown line at this point, and is fenced off.

The station is served by four trains per hour during weekday daytimes and two trains per hour at other times.

Platform 2 (outbound trains) is directly accessible from Station St. However, Platform 1 (inbound trains) must be accessed by stairs from Illawarra Rd, which crosses the railway line at the western end of the station. This does not allow for Easy Access for wheelchairs.
