Marouane Chamakh (Arabic: مروان شماخ‎, born on 10 January 1984 in Tonneins, France) is a French-Moroccan football player who plays as a striker.

Despite being born in France, he is a full international player for Morocco. Chamakh currently plays for Girondins de Bordeaux in the French top flight Ligue 1.

He has recently been linked with a move to Manchester City for £2m. however he has also been linked in 2006 we a move to [tottenham hotspurs] which he denies. he is currently one of afircan footballs best prodigies and he is expected to be one of africa's best players. In 2005 he was linked with a move to Lyon and Juventus, which shows the young morrocan at the tender age of 20 was a big attraction towards top clubs.
