Maroantsetra is a city in Toamasina Province, Madagascar. It is located at around 15°25′60″S, 49°43′60″E. It lies at the end of the Antongila Bay.

The main road connection is national road 5 along the coast to Toamasina. There is also an airport.

In March 2007, most of the city was destroyed by the tropical cyclone Indlala.
