Marla Dorrel

Marla Dorrel (born October 24, 1951) is a member of the town council of Cary, North Carolina.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Dorrel has lived in Cary since 1989. She holds a bachelor's degree in agricultural science and attended Southwest Missouri State University and the University of Missouri. A former teacher and government relations executive, Dorrel has served on the Cary Town Council since 1999 and was re-elected to a second term in 2003. She represents Cary's District D, where her prominent role has placed her among the most important figures of the late 20th century Cary Town Council. Dorrel is married and has one stepson. Dorrel is the past president of the Republican Women of Cary.
