Mark Wingett

Mark Wingett (b. January 1, 1961, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire) is an English actor.

He started his career playing a reckless and rebellious mod in the cult movie Quadrophenia. However, he is most commonly known for playing the role of Jim Carver from 1984 to 2005, in the ITV1 police drama, The Bill. He was one of the few remaining characters from the original line-up and pilot show Woodentop along with Trudie Goodwin.

More recently he appeared in the popular BBC1 soap opera EastEnders as Mike Swann, the father of Mickey Miller and Dawn Swann in September 2005, initially for a week-long stint. He returned to the soap in late-2005 for a longer period and left again in March 2006.

He made a brief return to The Bill in March 2007 to coincide with the departure of Trudie Goodwin.
