Mark West (basketball)

Mark Andre West (born November 5, 1960 in Petersburg, Virginia) is a former professional basketball player. A 6'10" center from Old Dominion University, he played 17 seasons (1983-2000) in the NBA as a member of the Dallas Mavericks, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, and Atlanta Hawks. West was a key player on the Phoenix Suns team that lost to the Chicago Bulls in the 1993 NBA Finals, and he compiled 6,259 points and 5,347 rebounds in his career. He also ranks #2 all-time (behind Artis Gilmore) in career field-goal percentage (58.03%).
West is currently employed by the Suns as Vice President of Player Programs.
