Mark Simpkin

Mark Simpkin is the popular presenter of ITV1's highly rated show I Want That House, about buying property abroad (Mark’s background is in Estate Agency and Property Development) he’s presented over 100 shows including 15 live shows from Florida. He moved on from presenting GMTV's Fashion Police and LK Today to ITV’s This Morning, where he presented a property strand called Property Police, hijacking homes with bad taste. An experienced traveller, he has presented regular reports from around the world for BBC1’s Holiday.

Having turned down a place in boy band Take That, Mark then tried is hand at acting, appearing in the popular ITV1, long running soap Coronation Street as “Craig Brennan” – best friend of Mike Baldwin’s son.

Mark’s previous experience in television includes Zig Zag, a long running educational children’s series on BBC1, working as a live reporter on the youth show The Totally Friday Show, The Travel Channel, Carlton Food Network, Manchester United TV and the Granada Regional Newsroom - where he trained.

As well as being a TV presenter, Mark also runs his own business producing corporate events, including a series nationwide youth conferences with Sir Alan Sugar for Lloyds TSB promoting entrepreneurialism.

Mark has also had the pleasure of many celebrity Interviews for This Morning including Samuel L Jackson, Will Smith and his favourite interviewee Heartbeat’s Tricia Penrose. Two years ago he interviewed the bubbly scouse barmaid at the National Television awards...

... They are now married and live in a 350 year-old converted gamekeeper’s cottage in Cheshire – which Mark designed and developed. He has a passion for football; fast cars and shares the family home with four horses, five ducks and a Great Dane called Bert.

Although Mark has a vast experience in property, business, and travel which makes him the perfect candidate for property and travel related programmes, he has zest for life with youthful looks and an outgoing personality well suited to a wide range of programming opportunities.
