Mark Osterstock

Mark Osterstock was the Liberal candidate for the 2006 SA election in the electoral district of Newland. He is a police officer and a Tea Tree Gully councillor, and was also the candidate for the electoral district of Wright in 2002.
Osterstock was preselected over three rival Liberal candidates for the electorate, to replace the retiring Dorothy Kotz. Kotz was elected in 1989 and last elected in 2002 with a two party preferred vote of 55.7%. Kotz had built up a personal vote in the area, and when Osterstock came in this evaporated, and Osterstock suffered a swing of 12.5% against the Liberal party in that seat, losing it to Labor candidate Tom Kenyon.
