Mark O'Connell (born December 23, 1980) is a British freelance Animator, writer and director. Upon achieving a degree in traditional animation in 2002, he worked on several productions at the now defunct Southampton Television. During his time there, he wrote, co-produced and presented part of primetime entertainment show “The Late Shift”.

In August 2004, Mark relocated to Los Angeles, California to work on the creative team of a video games company (THQ). As Project Coordinator, he worked on four titles, including Smackdown Vs. Raw (Playstation 2), Wrestlemania 21 (XBox), Day of Reckoning 2 (Gamecube), and Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 (Playstation 2 and PSP).

Mark married partner of 7 years Eleanor, on February 14th, 2005. In October, 2005 he relocated back to his native England to work on new animation projects.

In addition to his work in television, video games and animation, Mark O'Connell is also known for his interviews with film and television celebrities, such as comedian Eddie Izzard.
