Mark Moraghan (born January 1963) is a British actor and singer. He has appeared in many British drama series including Peak Practice and Heartbeat. However he is most famous for his roles as Greg Shadwick in Brookside, Ray Wyatt in Dream Team, and Owen Davies in Holby City.

Morgahan was born Toxteth, Liverpool. He started his acting career in 1978, when the BBC held auditions on his highschool for the TV play Lies, and he was selected to play his first role. [1] On 14 May 1988, Moraghan started his professional acting career playing a ferryman in the comedy Help!, and he subsequentially went on to play in many TV series and several movies. His longest running role was Owen Davies, a Consultant Obstetrician, in Holby City which he played from 2001 until 2005.

In 1993 Mark married Sarah and the couple has two daughters Jade and Hollie.

Moraghan is best known for his acting, but he also loves to sing and was inspired by Dean Martin, Sammy Davis and big band music. His fantasy is combine singing and acting on the stage on the West End one day. [2]

His first introduction to music was as a backing singer and percussionist in the Liverpool band Personal Column in the late 1970s [3]. In 2006, Moraghan came second in the BBC singing competition Just the Two of Us. His singing partner was former Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton with whom he sang classic songs like "Islands in the Stream" and "With You I'm Born Again."

Moraghan announced that he will release his debut single, however a release date or title is currently unknown, his debut album is scheduled for March 2007. [4]. He will star and co-direct the forthcoming feature film "The Stepdad". [5]
