Mark Lazarowicz

Marek Jerzy Lazarowicz, known as Mark Lazarowicz, (born Dagenham, August 8, 1953) is a Scottish politician, and Labour and Co-operative member of Parliament for Edinburgh North and Leith.
He graduated from St. Andrews University where he had been Chairperson of the St. Andrews University Labour Club. He won his seat in the 2001 elections and held it in 2005. He contested Edinburgh Pentlands at the 1987 and the 1992 elections. Before entering Parliament he led Edinburgh District Council, and was chair of the Scottish Labour Party.
In 2006 Mark piloted the Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Act 2006 through to the statute book as a Private Member's Bill.
