Mark Kimmitt

Brigadier General Mark T. Kimmitt, US Army, who had previously served as the chief military spokesman for the Coalition Provisional Authority in Baghdad, is currently serving as the US Central Command’s deputy director for strategy and plans. Previously, Kimmitt served at NATO's SHAPE headquarters in Belgium.
Kimmitt graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point as a part of the class of 1976. He has also earned degrees from Harvard University, the National Defense University, and the United States Army Command and General Staff College.
Mark Kimmitt's father is Joseph Stanley Kimmitt (Stan), former Secretary of the Senate and army colonel, who died in 2004.
