Mark John Young (born 1967) is the current Welsh Liberal Democrat candidate for the Vale of Clwyd in the National Assembly for Wales election, 2007.
He is a Community Councillor in the village of Llandyrnog which is situated near Denbigh in heart of the Vale of Clwyd. He is also a Committee Member of the Llandyrnog Sports Association, and a local school Govenor at Ysgol Bryn Clwyd.
Mark stood for Parliament in the 2005 General Election.
Mark was educated at the Grange County Comprehensive school in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire and served an apprenticeship in Liverpool in carpentry and joinery. He also attended Chester College of Further Education and attained a City & Guilds certificate in carpentry & joinery as well as communication studies.
Mark owns and manages his own construction business, an industry which he has worked in for over 21 years.
Marks hobbies include walking in the Vale of Clwyd and horse riding. He is also an ardent Rhyl Football Club supporter.
He is a member of the Countryside Alliance and the Flint and Denbigh Riding Club.
Mark lives in Llandyrnog with his wife and young daughter.
