Mark Ibold

Mark Ibold (b. 1962) was bass guitarist in the indie band Pavement. While he mostly played bass he also did some back-up vocals, most notably on the track Carrot Rope from the album Terror Twilight. He also worked with Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon in her project band Free Kitten. Currently he is a bartender in Great Jones Cafe in New York City. He also made several cameo appearances on Comedy Central's Strangers with Candy and in 2006 was published as the male hand model in Strangers with Candy' star Amy Sedaris' book I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence'.

Ibold was the touring bassist for Sonic Youth on their 2006 Rather Ripped tour.
