Mark Haines

Mark Haines once hosted the CNBC signature show Squawk Box, but, in 2005, he was replaced in that capacity by 34-year-old Rebecca Quick. Haines now appears on Squawk on the Street (which airs from 9-10am ET), which he co-hosts, along with Erin Burnett. In addition, Haines co-anchors the 10-11am hour of Morning Call from a set overlooking the New York Stock Exchange, along with Liz Claman (from CNBC Global Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey).

Haines attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School and is a member of the New Jersey bar association. He has his undergraduate degree from Denison University.

Haines is also a fan of the New York Mets.

He has a reputation among some viewers as being a curmudgeon.

He is also currently attending the University of Michigan.
