Mark Five Records

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mark Five Records is a record label. It started a subsidiary Sword Records in 1970. The company was founded by John Huffman and subsequently bought out by Rick Sandidge and Chris Cassels, co-owners of Sandcastle Studios in Greenville, South Carolina. Mark Five prospered in the '80s primarily on the strength of its jingle and Gospel music business. Sandidge and Cassels parted ways in the '90s when Sandidge moved the company to its present location in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Chris Cassels now owns Casablanca Filmworks in Asheville, North Carolina.
