Mark Dixie

Mark Dixie (born 25 September 1970) is a 36 year old chef who has been charged with the murder of 18-year-old model Sally Anne Bowman.[1]. His trial is due to start in 2007.

He worked at the Ye Old Six Bells in Surrey[2], where he was arrested in June 2006. Dixie's DNA was taken after a fight while watching a world cup football match, and matched with that of Sally Anne's killer.

Dixie is also accused of a sexual assault in 2001, where it is believed he masturbated in front of a woman in a telephone booth[3] At the time of Sally Anne Bowman's murder he was the landlord of the Rose and Crown in Upper Norwood.

In October 2006, Dixie's DNA was sent to Western Australia to be tested against that of the DNA evidence in the Claremont serial killer case between 1996 and 1997, as it is believed he was in the area at the time of the killings, and may have committed them[4].
